The book has been prepared to meet the needs of B.A Third Semester students of History all Colleges and Universities in Chhattisgarh under the recommended National Education Policy 2020. It comprehensively covers the paper, ‘History of Medieval India’. This book has been divided into four units, comprising of 10 chapters. Unit I explores historical sources and the Slave Dynasty (Qutubuddin Aibak, Iltutmish and Balban). Unit II focuses on the Khilji Dynasty’s military, revenue, and market systems, the Tughlaq Dynasty (Mohammad Bin Tughlaq) and Timur’s invasion. Unit III discusses Sultanate administration, reasons for its fall, and the Vijaynagar and Bahmani States. Finally, Unit IV examines the Bhakti Movement (Ramanand, Kabir, Nanak and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu) and Sufism, including the Chishti Silsila.
